My name is Ivy Woo, I am a PhD student in cryptography with Chris Brzuska at Aalto University since July 2022. I am broadly interested in the construction of cryptographic primitives with advanced functionalities, and am amazed by the beauty of how mathematics and computationally hard problems together can give rise to the many interesting tools that may improve the world.

Other than cryptography, I am also involved in projects on anonymous transactions and decentralised anonymous systems. Before I stepped into computer science, I obtained my bachelor’s and master’s degrees majoring in actuarial science from The University of Hong Kong and Ulm University respectively.

In Profile you find my (still young but gradually growing) academic profile.
In About Me you can know more about me outside of work.
